Rajasthan Government Scholarships
These schemes are managed by various departments of the Government of Rajasthan. Students must be permanent residents (domiciles) of Rajasthan unless specified otherwise.
Primary Level Schemes (Classes 1–5)
These schemes are for students at the primary level. Most are applicable only to Government schools. Please check the specific eligibility for each scheme.

Post-Matric & Higher Education Schemes (Class 11 onwards)
These schemes are for students who have completed Class 10 and are pursuing higher secondary, undergraduate, or postgraduate studies. Application is usually made through the Rajasthan Scholarship Portal or the SJE Portal.

Central Government Scholarships
These schemes are funded and administered by various ministries and departments of the Government of India. Most are applied for through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
Primary Level Schemes (Classes 1–5)
These schemes are for students at the primary level. Most are open to all school types.

Note: The Central Government's Pre-Matric Scholarship for Minority Communities for Classes 1–8 has been discontinued from 2023–24. The RTE Act, 2009 already guarantees free and compulsory elementary education (Classes 1–8). Pre-matric minority scholarships now cover only Classes 9–10.

Application Guide
How to Apply
Follow these steps to apply for government scholarships.
- Check your eligibility Read the scheme guidelines carefully. Each scholarship has specific criteria based on category, family income, academic performance, school type, and level of study.
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on NSP For central government schemes, you must first generate a One-Time Registration (OTR) number on the National Scholarship Portal using your Aadhaar / Aadhaar Enrolment ID. Generate OTR here
- Register on the respective portal For Rajasthan schemes, register on the Rajasthan Scholarship Portal / RajSSO / ShalaDarpan. For central schemes, log in to NSP with your OTR ID.
- Fill the application form Enter your personal details, academic details, bank account information, and upload the required documents.
- Submit and track Submit the application and note the application ID. Track your application status on the portal.
